Global Data Systems Taking Donations For Hurricane Ida Relief
Lafayette, LA, August 30, 2021 – Global Data Systems, Inc., a local leading managed service provider, announced today that they are launching a relief effort for the victims in southeast Louisiana affected by Hurricane Ida, and they are inviting the public to join them in this effort.
“What the people of southeast Louisiana need right now is support,” said Caitlin Jacob, Digital Communications Coordinator at Global Data Systems. “We strive to make IT simple for businesses but in this case, we are striving to help make people’s lives simpler so they can have the necessities to help them recover”.
Global Data Systems will be accepting donations via Venmo, which will be dispersed to relief and recovery efforts across southeast Louisiana. Donations can be sent via Venmo to @getGDS. GDS will be matching the first $3,000 of donations and using that money to buy specific materials needed by the victims of Hurricane Ida.
If you would prefer to donate hard goods like water, baby diapers, mops, tarps, or nonperishable foods, GDS will be securing transport into the affected areas to deliver the collections. Those donations can be dropped off at GDS Headquarters at 310 Laser Lane, Lafayette, Louisiana 70507.
All donations will be transported and delivered by Global Data Systems. If you have any questions about donating, please contact Lyndsay Degeyter at 337-291-6500.
