To best match the right SmartIT professional service to the Client’s needs, GDS also approaches every engagement by identifying the current phase of deployment for that IT initiative. Will the Client require services before deployment, during deployment, at cut-over, and/or after the deployment? In many instances, GDS Clients will require SmartIT professional services that deliver a turn-key deployment plan while others may only need services for a specific phase. For example, before deploying a data center, a large service provider engaged GDS Professional Services to assess, design and plan a network operations center. It was determined by the Client that their internal staff would implement the equipment and GDS would provide the project management services throughout. In another engagement with a healthcare organization, GDS’ professional services only provided implementation and documentation services during the deployment that were based on the design services provided by the Client’s own consulting firm.

In both instances, Global Data Systems provided specific professional services to fulfill specific needs, regardless of the Client’s deployment phase and ensured success.
