  • Management and Monitoring of Firewalls.Through a secure VPN or private line connection, IPCare Security personnel will monitor and manage firewalls for up/down status. In the event that a failure occurs, our experts will notify the Client’s administrators of the outage and the affected nodes. In the event that a failure is detected or is about to occur, an IPCare security expert will assess the situation and will track the incident until resolution through an on-line ticketing system.
  • Immediate notification of any firewall policy changes. Original firewall configurations are archived and stored within the GDS’ Network Operations Center. If any changes to the firewalls are made, our Clients will be automatically notified via email of any policy changes. Our tools track where and when changes to the firewalls are made and all changes are reported to the Client’s authorized personnel.
  • The assurance that critical networks are protected from unauthorized access. Though all firewall activity is recorded, special attention is given to suspicious activities associated with them. All events will be captured and recorded by automated tools that provide real-time notification and escalation to our IPCare Security team members, 24X7. The suspicious activity is then thoroughly analyzed by security experts who will then take corrective measures. Our Clients are automatically notified before, during and after resolution.
  • Access to IPCare Security experts and support personnel.IPCare Security Clients have direct access to the vast amount of security expertise available from GDS. Our experts can provide answers to firewall questions, assist in modifying policy configurations, explain incidents and make moves, adds and changes.
  • Produce Performance and Availability Reports
    • Incident Logs that documents all security events from the firewall and how they were resolved are available through the nPower Xtranet web portal.
    • Security Information Management Reports are available through the nPower Xtranet web portal.
    • Semi-annual firewall assessment that identifies all open and closed ports.
