GDS' Intrusion Prevention Service (IPS) offers event monitoring and configuration management. GDS IPS monitoring tracks security events in real-time as traffic flows through the IPS. Traffic inspection includes all seven layers of the IP stack, going well beyond the port/protocol rules of a firewall.
GDS' Intrusion Prevention Services protect against worms, viruses, spyware and other threats, and is a flexible solution that proactively prevents enterprise and application attacks while maintaining peak network performance. Not every potential threat is indeed a threat to be blocked, and ongoing IPS tuning assures that alerts are generated for suspicious events while well qualified attacks are readily blocked.
