Emergency communications from the ground up
GDS' Satellite Network uses a system capable of variable-bandwidth management and actively administers satellite space allocation to respond to disaster and other emergency situations. The system is built an architecture that enables multiple users to share a pool of dedicated and occasional bandwidth.
Two classes of service are available to GDS Network users through a low fixed monthly subscription fee:
1,024/128 Kbps and 1,024/256 Kbps (Download/Upload IP Data Rates). A variable per megabyte or hourly rate applies only when the network is in use. When clients need voice and Internet connectivity, GDS' Network provides bandwidth for IP Voice plus bandwidth for Internet access within minutes, helping connect you when all other forms of communication may be disrupted or otherwise unavailable.
The Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) located on your site consists of a pre-aligned, removable antenna with non-penetrating roof mount, a Low Noise Block down converter (LNB), a two-watt Block Up Converter (BUC) and a satellite modem.
BENEFITS:
By putting back-up communications capabilities on site at your business locations, GDS' Satellite Network delivers affordable around-the-clock connectivity and peace of mind. For financial institutions, as an example, branches and remote offices could be able to reestablish critical data and voice services virtually within minutes.
FEATURES:
Affordable: eliminates the financial barriers to implementing a full-time emergency back-up communications network
Rapidly Deployable: satellite communications system resides on site and is ready to deploy the moment disaster strikes
Flexible: capacity to meet emergency demand, with high-speed connections that are independent local on-the-ground systems

Typical Applications:
First responders and municipal/government agencies requiring a reliable emergency communication system (i.e., police, fire and emergency medical services).
Disaster recovery and business continuity services in need of a reliable and quick-to-deploy solution capable of providing Internet access, and supporting email retrieval and VoIP devices.
Remote offices and branches that need to provide continuous services to their customers, (i.e. banks, hospitals, hotels, utilities and insurance companies).
