In 1992, Global Data Systems entered into a relationship with Cisco Systems. Since that time, the two companies have held one of the closest and most successful working relationships in the VAR (value added reseller) community. As Cisco began to change and innovate, so did GDS, with the two companies growing almost in tandem for the last two decades.
In 1999, GDS is recognized as having worked Cisco to deploy the very first commercial VoIP (Voice-over-IP) telephone system in the Southeastern United States. Following this, GDS was instrumental in the introduction of Cisco’s core products and services for voice, video and data to the Southeastern market. In 1999 Cisco achieved Gold Partner status and then became a Cisco MSCP in 2011.
Along with these achievements, GDS is one of the few companies in the Channel to employee five CCIE’s, hold all three available architecture platform certifications and employee a staff that comprises over 180+ individual Cisco certifications across all specializations. As we move into our next 25 years, GDS is proud to continue our work with Cisco and our other leading channel partners.
