System Engineer III
Locations: Lousiana and Mississippi
Assumes major technical responsibility and demonstrates a solid working knowledge in project planning and solving engineering problems. Provides technical guidance and leadership across a broad segment of the industry. Exhibits a solid functional competence on several aspects of the customer’s business.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge and ability to integrate and manage several aspects/discipline within area(s) of specialization
- Demonstrates comprehensive and diversified knowledge of engineering methods and practices in broad areas of the customer’s industry
- Possesses broad experience and exposure to the customer base
- Develops test plans for new and existing systems
- Is proficient in the use of common testing tools
- Recommended affiliation with professional society, etc
- Identifies and recommends enhancements to improve and expand customer engineering technology and services
- Anticipates and reacts to customer problems and needs
- Demonstrates a solid ability to effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate complex projects while meeting required deadlines and project cost guidelines, under broad direction
- Demonstrates solid problem resolution skills, leading and guiding the team in determining
- Provides technical leadership on project teams
- Acts as mentor to effectively transfer knowledge to others
- Handles complex situations and keeps team focused on technical tasks
- Participates in the development of standards, principles, and practices for engineering
- Interacts effectively with customers, peers, GDS management, and customer management on day-to-day and long-range technical and business issues
- Is articulate and gives effective presentation to management, customers, and customer management
- Develops and conducts technical and/or business training classes
- Demonstrates comprehensive business and/or technical writing skills
- Leads recruiting interview teams
- Speaks and publishes papers at seminars
- Advises others on daily operations and/or support groups interactions
- Assists support groups in the application and implementation of new technology
- Comparable to Engineering Team Leader
- Ability to handle multiple high priority tasks
- Willing to travel full time, if necessary
HIPAA skills/requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare field
- Solid working knowledge of the healthcare environment
- Previous auditing experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA and the federal regulations
- Previous experience or knowledge of the policy writing process in a healthcare setting
- Excellent writing and analysis skills
- BS or AD in a healthcare field
- CISSP desired
- SANS or Cisco security certifications desired
