Consulting Systems Engineer
Locations: Lousiana and Mississippi
Qualifications and Requirements:

Qualifications and Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of baseline CSE skills and in-depth knowledge in at least one area of specialization/solution.
- In-depth knowledge and strong operating experience in more than one of the following solution areas: VPN's, Security, QoS, Remote/Local Access, IBM, Multi-Service (Voice and Video), Campus/MAN, WAN, Optical Networking, Transmission Systems or Wireless.
- Have extreme detailed knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications.
- Thorough competitive knowledge (in their area of specialization) including solution, technology and product offerings.
- Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
- 7+ years related experience. Cisco product experience and specific solution/ technology/ product positioning required or product experience in key competitor offerings. Pre-Sales experience required. Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent. CCIE certification highly desirable and/or preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Area or Operation responsibilities for selected major account opportunities.
- Provide specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support for major account opportunities.
- Understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements.
- Understand and Articulate Cisco's Architectures and Services.
- Facilitate better communications and understanding of customer requirements between customers, corporate and the field.
- Create, present and document technical solutions.
- Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.
- Drive identified major account opportunities (i.e. technical consulting, upper level management presentations, and Cisco technology solutions) while allowing local account team to maintain long-term ownership.
- Provide consultative support and mentor other less experienced Systems Engineers in assigned major account opportunities.
- Major account focus will require increased travel responsibilities.
- Actively participate as a specialist on assigned POD - Virtual Team.
